Hi all,
I am interested in applying to HBS. Have 730 GMAT, 4 years of experience in ZS. Have leadership experience as well.
Want to start early for the admissions process, what is the best roadmap for landing into HBS. I will be applying to other top 10 as well, but HBS is the prime target, would want some quality advice on the same.

Hi richatandon , it is absolutely refreshing to see your confidence and motivation for targeting all the Ivy leagues.
To guide you on the prospects, I would be interested to know more about your "leadership experience".
As you may know, HBS's mission statement is to “educate leaders who make a difference in the world.” Successful applicants at HBS are accomplished, having demonstrated impressive feats in a variety of areas such as entrepreneurship, social impact, arts, sports, government organizations and so on. Therefore, your roadmap to landing into HBS should focus on highlighting your stellar growth trajectory, leadership experience and uniqueness that you could bring to the cohort.
If you have not yet already started to brainstorm on the applications you could refer to my write up to help you prepare notes for the roadmap and develop some perspective on a well rounded MBA profile:

Another important advice I would like to give is not to exhaust all your T10 applications by applying at the same time. Evaluate your rejections, learn from school's response and improvise your strategy for the next set of schools.

Now is a great time to start on your HBS application strategy. It sounds like you have strong building blocks. I think one challenge for you will be standing out within a rather large group of consulting applicants. So now is a great time to think about how your experiences and background have differed and made you who you are. This kind of brainstorming is crucial to do before you start working on your application materials and essay for HBS.
