Hi everyone,

I'm planning to pursue a PGDM in Business Analytics next year and would really appreciate some unbiased advice from people who are currently studying or have already graduated.
My academic background isn't in Computer Science, so one of my biggest concerns is whether students without strong coding skills can comfortably manage the curriculum. Most college websites highlight placements and industry partnerships, but it's difficult to understand what the actual learning experience is like.

A few questions I have:
  • How technical is the curriculum? Is prior knowledge of Python or programming necessary?
  • Which tools do you end up using the most during the course and in your job - Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or something else?
  • What roles do graduates typically land? Are they mostly Business Analyst/Data Analyst positions, or are there opportunities in consulting, product management, or strategy as well?
  • With AI becoming more capable, how do you see the future of Business Analytics careers over the next 5 to 10 years?
  • What skills do you wish you had learned before joining the program?
I've been researching colleges with strong industry exposure and practical learning. One institute that has caught my attention is Welingkar Mumbai for its PGDM in Business Analytics, but I'd love to hear from anyone who has first-hand experience with the program - both the positives and the challenges.
Looking forward to hearing genuine experiences and recommendations.
