Hi ,

I'm a 34 year old Indian male based out of New Delhi. I'm interested in pursuing an MBA in Canada because I feel it will jumpstart my career as I land there on a PR. Here's my profile:

Certifications: Advanced French language- alliance francaise & CCIP paris (2yrs), German language- IITTM (6 mths), Spanish Language IIFT (6 mths), Google Digital unlocked & advanced analytics, Hubspot Inbound.
Courses: Stephen covey 7 winning habits
Gmat: yet to take.

Extracurricular: At college & corporate level- national business/corporate quizzes with multiple titles incl. tata crucible & aima national management quiz. National champion 2010.
School- House captain, Quiz & basketball team captain. Interschool winner in Essay writing & painting competitions. Poetry published in Times of India.
Canadian family PR applied and awaited, planning to immigrate in early 2019. Landing- toronto

I understand that my age is limiting my options. However, I feel the need to pursue MBA so that I'm able to progress in my career, finacial scholarships are a consideration, eMBA due to high fees is something I am not considering. Can you guys throw some light on my situation and what seems best? And whether I should apply to schools such as Ivey, McGill, UBC, Queen's, Schulich, Ted Rogers, HEC Montreal?

Hi,

Congratulations on your decision to move to Canada. Canada seems to be the flavour of the year. In my opinion, your age is not a barrier to entry into MBA programs you've mentioned. However, since you have a family I would recommend Exe MBA where you can work while pursuing your MBA. If you feel a full-time program will be more beneficial then go for 1-year programs such as Ivey or Queens. Pursuing a degree definitely helps in migrating successfully not just with your career but also with your social life.
