Hi everyone, I have a quick question about the possibilities of interview invitations based on the GMAT Club school stats.
For example, data for Yale SOM shows 3,076 applicants and 1,013 accepted. That's a 33% acceptance rate.
I've often heard that the interview-to-acceptance ratio is typically around 2:1 at top schools.
If we use that 2:1 ratio, it would mean about 2,026 people were interviewed (1,013 admits * 2), which suggests a high interview invite rate of nearly 66% (2,026 / 3,076). This calculated rate seems similarly high for schools like Stern and Berkeley Haas, too.
Does this high invite rate seem correct for these schools, or is the post-interview acceptance rate (the acceptance-to-interview ratio) actually much lower than 2:1?
I'm asking because I haven't received an invitation yet, and a 66% invite rate is making me slightly nervous!
Thanks in advance for any insights or past experience you can share.
