I spoke with someone who did the program. She said it's probably most helpful to complete career switchers considering consulting or finance (with the finance side being the most helpful). For those who know nothing about the different roles and positions available in the financial sector, this is a great way to get it figured out so you know where to start once you get to school, it gets the very junior questions answered for you early so that you're not wasting your time once school starts. Of course there is the "face time" component as well, an opportunity to meet with recruiters. I have yet to hear someone say it's a must apply to program, but if you have the time and the funds and you're interested in those industries, it's definitely worth giving it a shot.
