Hi there! Could you please give me your opinion on my chances to get accepted into:
- M7
- Top 15: Dartmouth/Darden/Fuqua/Yale SOM/Stern
- Top 20/25: Cornell/Marshall/Kelley/Tepper/Kenan-Flager
- Top Europe: IESE/LBS/INSEAD
Indeed each school has its own peculiarities, at the moment I am trying to assess which 'bucket' I can aim at given my profile
At the moment, my preferences would go for Dartmouth, Cornell, and Marshall so if you could give me particular feedback on my chances for these 3 schools, it would be great!
Age at matriculation: 28 years old (turning 29 after a few months)
Gender: Male
Nationality: Italian
GMAT: 710
Education:
- Undergrad in Business Administration from a top school in Italy, graduated Cum Laude, exchange semester in Spain
- Master's degree in Strategic Management from a top university in Belgium, exchange semester in the US, internship in Singapore,
Work Experience:
(upon matriculation: 4 years)
1.5 years at a BIG 4 in consulting, Belgium
2.5 years at a bank in strategy, Italy
Extra-Curricular
- launched a fashion brand on my own as a side-job/passion
- run a website focused on education (free CV reviews, study methodology, etc.)
- pro-bono consultant for a couple of SMEs
- speak 4 languages fluently (not sure if this helps)
Post-MBA Goal:
Strategy/MGMT consulting or operations/marketing in a F500
- M7

You have some clear advantages going for you in your background -- solid academic credentials, a good GMAT score, interesting extracurriculars (speaking multiple languages can certainly help if you say you want to do international work after b-school), and well-balanced work experience. Based on the info that you've provided, I'd say that you have a strong shot at Dartmouth, Cornell, and Marshall. I'd advise emphasizing your European perspective (Europeans aren't necessarily super well represented at these MBA programs, so your identity and background could be seen as very valuable). I think the M7 schools may be a bit of a stretch for your profile (frankly, they're a stretch for just about anybody!), but that doesn't mean that you can't apply to a couple if you're really in love with them. And you do have a competitive profile for the other "buckets" that you mentioned.
If you can narrow your industry / sector of interest after b-school more (i.e. not just "operations / marketing" or "strategy consulting," but "operations / marketing / consulting in ... consumer goods? Industrials and manufacturing? Clean energy?" What field really excites you, and why? Can you demonstrate previous experience in that field?), that will also help sharpen your profile and improve your admissions chances.
