it would be great if I could receive some advice/ an assessment of my upcoming B-School application:


It would be great to get some advice on chances at these schools and the necessity of a GMAT retake

Hello and thank you for your post.

I would recommend retaking the GMAT to get you closer to these school's GMAT averages. Though you mentioned an increase in your score may be unlikely, you have nothing to lose (except of course your time and effort) as the schools only look at your top score. Even scoring well above a 700 won't guarantee admission but it will increase your odds a bit.
The GMAT is only one part of your application though, so hopefully you can wow admissions committees with impressive work experience where you made an impact and really demonstrated leadership qualities, as well as clear and realistic post-MBA goals.
No matter how strong someone's profile is though, the schools you listed are extremely competitive so it is always a good idea to apply to a few other safer choices.
