I see! You should only apply if you have had time to put together a strong application (the qualitative components of the application); the GMAT score is not the determining factor of your admissions into these programs. HBS's R1 application is due less than a month away; if you haven't started the applications, it will be tough to get everything done by R1 while preparing for the GMAT.

Hi SiaAdmissions,

Thank you for your advice!

Initially, I was aiming to apply in R1 (the deadline for which is Sep 5 for HBS, and Sep 18-28 for other schools), so I am planning to retake GMAT on Aug 30 (which is the only slot possible, given that I took GMAT yesterday)

Hypothetically, if I don't score higher, do you think it would be still worthwhile to apply? Or would it be better to take more time to study, and apply in R2?
