Hi
Your work experience is strong and quite unique, especially with R&D, patents, and an IIT M.Tech. That already positions you as a candidate with tangible impact and technical depth. The webapp and internal AI tool also show innovation and initiative, which top schools value.
Your main concern is academics. A 67% in XII and B.Tech is on the lower side for top global schools, but the 8.3/10 M.Tech from IIT is a clear positive that helps offset it. Schools will notice the upward trend and the rigor of IIT. They typically take a holistic view, so strong work experience and achievements can balance out earlier academics.
To stay competitive for ISB, IIM PGPX, INSEAD, or M7, you’ll likely need a GMAT Focus score in the 675+ zone to reassure AdComs of your academic ability. Beyond that, your essays should clearly highlight your career impact, leadership, and the story behind your professional journey.
If you can craft a strong narrative and get a solid score, there’s no need to drop the dream. Focus on presenting your upward academic trend and real-world impact, and make your application about your potential, not just your percentages.
