Hi All,
What are your thoughts on MBA Letter of recommendation from a colleague younger in age? While ideally a recommendation should come from a supervisor or client, if there's somebody who on-boarded you, worked very closely with you and can speak to your abilities in a detailed manner, would the fact that they are 3 years younger matter?
I am planning to take my first recommendation from a direct client I worked with for 2 years, but for schools where they need 2 recommendations I was wondering if there could be any negative impact of taking it from a younger colleague. This colleague of mine worked with me for 6 months and went on to do a masters and is now employed elsewhere. This colleague has excellent writing skills and I feel that she would be able to put together a very real and powerful recommendation for me, which is why I was considering this.
