I am 30 now and have deep interest in technology and entrepreneurship. While, I have been interested in getting MBA and apply next year. I am skeptical because world has changed a lot now.
MBA is only serving credentialism except if you are into Finance.
I am now inclining towards CS masters instead of MBA. However my profile is a much better fit for BSchool than Computer Science Masters program
Posted from my mobile deviceHi. I have to preface and say that I am not an expert at masters but I am not sure you want to be in a class full of 21 year olds.
Unless you attend a program that fits your demographic in your profile, you you are going to be at a disadvantage. Just like if you’re 21 and you’re getting an MBA without work experience, and you’re under qualified for all these jobs that come through the career services or on campus recruiting. The same way, all jobs will likely be pretty junior.
Again, possible on your country it works and you can make it work but MBA remains the best vehicle to change industries, roles, and break through the middle management ranks in the US. It is not the only one and by far not the cheapest but it is the most effective one.
While specialized masters degrees have been popular with applicants, I am more interested in knowing how employers respond to them. That is really the ultimate test of which degree you want to get. It doesn’t matter what you feel or what you want, it’s all about being able to get a job after you graduate. Otherwise it’s pointless

so I would not worry about your classmates or your feelings but employability at graduation.
