I would say that a lowish GMAT and young age combination are really not great. What do you want to do post MBA?

No top 25 school is likely to bite at that profile, you have a good GPA, but very limited work experience and a GMAT that is below the T25 average. If you're not looking at a top 25 or 30 program the ROI is likely poor.

Hey there,

So, before we get into schools and profiles, etc. - a question for you: what's the rush? Why do you want to start in Fall 2015? Why not 2016 or 2017?

I am one of those who actually wanted to go to Bschool right after my undergrad. Besides, in my country you cannot get into good positions and land good jobs unless you have a MBA at a very early age. So, most students prefer to complete his/her mba as soon as possible. Until I get my MBA, my career will be stuck. I have some personal reasons too. So, its important for me. Thanks.

Well, although it's a good reason for YOU, I'm afraid that for Bschool they aren't gonna see much advantage for them. So at this point the best piece of advice I can give is to just wait at least another year, if not two. And don't PASSIVELY wait, but do what you can to improve your profile! Like retaking the GMAT. That could help a bit…

Hope this helps,
JF

Exactly!

And during this time, try to do a bit of research and introspection to understand the post-MBA career options out there, and which one you are interested in. Goal clarity is highly valued by admission committees. This research should also guide you in choosing a pre-MBA career track as your pre-MBA experience will play a major role during your application process - so make the right choices right away.

This series of introductory articles on post-MBA careers in technology, marketing, finance, consulting etc. will be a good starting point:

Sorry it took me a moment to respond after my initial post but Jon had my back (thanks!). I agree with him completely. I know you're feeling like you'll be stuck but an MBA is a massive investment and you owe it to yourself to get the very best education you can, not just a 3 letter degree.

As someone who applied with only 2 years' experience, and retried it again this year (with 3 years), I would say get at least 3 years' worth of experience under your belt before making the leap. Although it's not impossible to gain admission (I got admission to a Top 20 last year with less experience, but decided not to go) you're definitely going to be behind the competition unless you REALLY have impressive work experience (for example launching a start-up) and/or a monster GMAT/GPA. Most MBA applicants have 3-5 years' experience; it's important to have a track record of some sort so you can have something to contribute to class discussions, etc.

If you want me to go in-depth more about how it is to apply w/ less work experience, I'd be glad to help you out, feel free to reach out to me thru PM.
Edit- just read through your posts thoroughly...there are some schools that are more "early-career" friendly than others. I can help you out through PM on those if you want
