Hi Guys
I have a rather unusual query for you guys. I am a Business analyst working for the Transaction banking department of the Banking tech HQ of one of the largest banks on earth. I was earlier working in the Software Engineering side and have lead teams/projects before. have a lot of EC's when it comes to the Group CSR activities(I am a member of a team that decides the funding that an NGO receives ), awards in office and blah blah.
Well to get to the point, I got an admit with $$ from Eli broad School of management after being dinged by all my schools (List at the bottom). I decided to tell my managers that I will be quitting in May and that they shouldn't put me on any critical projects, well their reaction wasn't great and they have simply told me that I will be pushed out from the Business Analysis stream and back into Software development. Now this is something I really dont want on my profile! When I quit, the relieving letter will say Senior Software Engineer and not Business analyst.
Will this gravely affect my post MBA chances? Or should I wait another year, gain some international work ex(They have offered a 1 yr in UK in July) and reapply? Or is it better to take up Broad and somehow work my way back in to Banking?
My profile :
GMAT : 720
TOEFL : 116
WE = 4 yrs in July
EC : Good
Work Ex: Good, multiple awards.
List of colleges :
1) ISB - I/V - Ding
2)Darden - Ding
3)Broad - Admit with 60% schol
4)Mccombs - No word.
