Hi,

I have been luckily admitted to University of Texas Austin for the MSBA program and Duke for the MQM:BA program in the marketing track(which was my first choice). Ranking wise the UTA program is better(2nd in the world) and it also more established and cheaper. Whereas, Fuqua has a better name as a university. Duke being a private university is much more expensive. The program is also only two years old.

I want to become a marketing consultant and work with social impact companies. I like both the courses and the classes they offer. I really liked the culture at Fuqua when I read about it. I have not found anything like that McCombs yet but I know its a great university. Both of them are and hence the confusion. Any help on this matter would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Pooja,

If I was you, I would choose UTA over Fuqua any day. Value for money is more than double, and I'm sure you will find plenty of opportunities in both the programs. I would suggest that you try to connect with the current students so you'll get a more clear picture. By the way, could you please share your complete profile if you dont mind? I have also applied to the UTA MSBA program, so I'm curious to know.

Congrats on getting in and sorry I have missed the post. I am not familiar with the programs unfortunately. Are they both STEM-qualified?

What about on-campus recruiting? Can you participate together with the MBA students in any on-campus recruiting events or is it completely separate? Do you have a decent work experience to draw upon in recruiting?
