I got accepted to both Fordham and McCombs for MBA. I intend to work in Asset management or Venture Capital post MBA in New York. Which is a better option, studying in New York and having access to the Wall Street networking events vs studying in a better rated college in Austin, Texas.

Congrats on your admits!
It will be very challenging and tricky to break into asset management in New York despite the brand of the MBA program you attend, though definitely you want to be in the M7 traditionally... but there are still chances.
As to options, I would definitely pick McCombs vs. location. Location is not as critical and important these days. Also, events only get you so far. You can't mob anyone to an internship

McCombs is a tier above Fordham, no one is going to hire you from Fordham's MBA for a front office role. It's seen as a low quality MBA program.
McCombs gets you to a vastly stronger program, albeit in Texas.
The choice in my view is 1) take McCombs and push for a job you want in Texas, then later on move to NYC, or 2) apply again next year. Fordham shouldn't even be a consideration.
