Hello Friends,
I would like to hear some opinions on which MBA to choose;
McDonough (Georgetown) vs
Carlson (Univ. of Minnesota).
I got an admit from both these colleges but without any scholarship.
Since there is almost no difference between the tuition fee of these two institutions, I am in a fix.
I want to attend McDonough because it is better ranked than Carlson (rest being almost the same), but McDonough being in DC will cost slightly more.
Carlson is a very nice school with a good curriculum, but I heard most of the graduates find a job in the Minneapolis metropolitan area. So what are the chances of securing an internship or a job outside Minneapolis. I guess I can go to Chicago, but there would be tough competition from Booth.
This, I guess, is not the case with McDonough since although jobs can be hunted in DC area, NYC is nearby so there is access to more companies.
In terms of consulting, is McDonough better than Carlson.
Your inputs are much appreciated.
Thanks
