Hi everyone.
I heard that work experience is essential in applying for MBA.
Do I have any chance of admission if I've been working for a bit more than 1 year as a mechanic in car repair shop?
I really don't like this job, so I now want to switch to Finance. I took a GMAT and scored 680. My GPA is 3.5 from third world country university.
Work experience is not prerequisite of getting admission, but if you have job experience, especially in multinational company or hold a managerial post in a post, definitely it has a profound in your admission on top class universities. It would be hard to get admission on Finance subject, as your educational background and job experience does not match to your intended program. I am not expert on MBA admission (especially Finance major), just I have thrown my opinions based on my knowledge.

Best of luck in years to come.
