I am living in
(missing article "a")democratic country. Mainly there are four pillars
(missing "that")exist in any democratic country. They are Parliament, Defense, Judiciary and Journalism. The last one, journalism, has different form
(should be plural, forms) like Television, Newspapers, Magazines and Other media. I personally feel that this form of democracy is paying much attention to the personal lives of famous people. I have very strong reasons and examples to support my view.
First of all, we are living in digitally globalized world where everyone is curious to know what is happening on
(missing article, "the")other side of world as well as what is going in their
("everyone" is singular, so you can't use "their"; "his or her" would be appropriate) own country. They
(who or what is "they"? is it "everyone"? remember "everyone" is singular) want to get all these
(should be "this") information as it happens. As we all know that
("that" should be removed) there is very tough competition going on between various media company
(company should be plural, since you say there are "various" ones). They all want to sell their news. They all want to broaden their customer or viewers base to get benefited
(benefits, not benefited). To achieve this target the easiest way for them is to get news which arouse more interest among the mass
(should be masses) and attract more audience for their respective media company and there is nothing better to get news about famous personality and public figures.
I have some personal experience. I am avid news paper reader. Just before 10 years ago, media was more responsible of their work and what they are printing or selling; they were not paying much attention towards celebrity related news. It was not useful to society at great. They all were running on their ethics. But within 10 years whole scene has been change. There is too much competition from around the world. They want news of celebrities as any cost because they are public figures and they know this news will get more attention in public though it does not have any relevance. They cater news like what famous person eat or drink which is useless.
They follow them 24x7
("24/7" is very informal.. never write something like this in an essay). It has created new form of journalism - paparazzi. Celebrities like this initially but soon they get bored and found them self
(should be plural.. themselves) tied by something. They try to avoid and escape from them as much as possible. This chasing sometimes proves brutal to many like Princess Dianna. She lost her life while trying to keep herself away from paparazzi.
To sum up, I agree that media is paying too much attention to the personal lives of famous people which is totally unwanted, unneeded and useless.
