Doctor + MBA is a great combination. The McKs, BCGs, Bains love such people. You'll need a good GMAT (especially Quant) to demonstrate that you can cope with the academic rigours of the program. Other than that, you should be pretty competitive at the top schools.

I am a medical doctor from one of South East Asia Country want to pursue MBA degree in USA
have 8 years experience in Emergency room of a Hospital, 5 years experience in managing a clinic (trusted by an old doctor)
also participating in Business/Leadership Organization and Medical Organization related to the Non-Profit for 3 years each.
could you give me some advices how could a MD to be accepted into an MBA program in TOP Schools in US?
how is the probability?
My Bachelor GPA was below 3.5 and above 2.99

Well, doctors do enroll for MBA programs so this is not unheard of. Many of them want to get into hospital management side or work in the healthcare industry in roles that require an MBA. When applying to b-schools you will have to make sure you have well thought and realistic career goals that indeed require an MBA. You will also have to show some transferable skills and business savvy from your current roles- which I assume you would have gained from 5 years of managing a clinic. Besides studying for GMAT/ GRE/ EA, You should spend your time right now networking with other doctor students or alumni or healthcare professionals who are doing an MBA and get a better sense of how the MBA degree can help you specifically.

Indrakun91 Your success will largely depend on you telling the schools what the possible career domains are that you can realistically get into after an MBA in the USA, assuming you would want to stay in the USA afterward. And to be able to make this convincing case, you need to research A LOT. Most doctors applying would have similar experience to begin with, so think about what projects beyond the ordinary make a strong case for your candidacy. As already mentioned, there are schools in the US that feed very well into the healthcare industry. For example, Duke and Tuck both send about 7-8% of their class into healthcare sectors each year, and this is a really good number for catering to a single industry. Try to speak with people who have served as medical professionals pre-MBA and who graduated from these and similar programs to first understand what the opportunities look like realistically for international candidates/medical professionals.

Best wishes

Hi Indrakun91 ! Your background as a medical doctor with both clinical and management experience makes you a good MBA candidate. Your 8 years in the emergency room show your ability to handle pressure and make quick decisions, while managing a clinic for 5 years highlights your leadership and business skills. Your involvement in nonprofit and business organizations is a good plus to your profile. However, since your GPA is below 3.5, top U.S. MBA programs may see it as a weakness. To improve your chances, aim for a strong GMAT/GRE score, well-articulated essays demonstrating your motivation for an MBA, and clear post-MBA goals, such as transitioning into healthcare management, entrepreneurship, or consulting, will be crucial. Schools like Wharton, Harvard, Fuqua, and Berkeley Haas could be a good fit, but you’ll need to show strong business and analytical skills. Networking, strong recommendations, and positioning your medical background as a leadership strength will help make your application stand out. If you'd like, we would love to learn more about your profile in detail, please feel free to BOOK A PROFILE EVALUATION CALL. Good luck!

Hi indrakun,
I am a doctor, MD, with about 10 years of experience and going to start my MBA this fall at Copenhagen Business School as I'm based in Copenhagen. Feel free to reach me for any guidance. Don't fall prey to MBA consultants as they know nothing about our journey. For them, your profile looks unique in terms of diversity.
