Medical students in many developing countries are forced to learn their skills in outdated facilities equipped with only the most basic technology. In comparison to their colleagues in the United States, some foreign medical students are hopelessly disadvantaged by their lack of access to state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge treatments being used in the well-funded teaching hospitals of the United States.
