Hey Everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone knows how good Melbourne Business School really is and also how good are they job prospects after one does an mba from there. I have a gmat score of 740. Is there a chance for me to get a scholarship ?
I do believe it is the best school in Australia, but other than that there is fairly limited information about this school on the internet.

While MBS is truly the best in Australia, and the job prospects within Australia are quite decent, the lack of a global reputation restricts your global mobility; in other words it is way easier to move from a good MBA prog in US/ Canada or Europe to Australia, than vice Versa.
Additionally, among the several factors that strengthen your MBA application, a 740 GMAT score is strong enough to get you admission into some top tier MBA programs anywhere. That said, the GMAT score is just ONE factor. More details of your candidature, including your resume will be very helpful to assess your profile for a suitability and chances of scholarship.

Hi sujoshk,
MBS is definitely the most top-notch program in Australia and a 740 on the GMAT is bound to give you a good chance at making it. Schools in the US have greater global opportunities so while we aren't trying to generalize, you must go to MBS only if Australia is your primary choice.
Tough to comment on scholarships without knowing anything else about your profile. However, generally speaking, US programs are more scholarship friendly.
