I just completed my MBA admissions interview for Notre Dame - Mendoza's College of Business. It was conducted over the KIRA Talent platform. Please ensure that you register at least 2 hours prior to the interview. A second year student (Rubal) and an AdCom member (Tracy Kulwicki) together took the interview. These questions were asked - 1. Tell me about yourself 2. Why do you want to go for an MBA at this point in your career? 3. Why Notre Dame’s MBA program? 4. What are your post-MBA goals? 5. ND’s tagline is “Grow the Good in Business,” and it is part of each and every activity that we do here. How do you see yourself aligned to it? 6. DnI is crucial to ND’s mission. We always try to onboard a truly diverse cohort. Share your experiences in promoting and experiencing DnI. 7. What unique aspects do you bring to ND Mendoza? 8. What is your biggest professional achievement or something you are proud of? 9. Notre Dame is a small Sound Band area. How do you intend to maximize your experience beyond Academics and outside Mendoza’s campus here? 10. Anything that you’d like to tell us outside of your application components and the interview discussion today? 11. What do you like to do outside of work and why? The interview lasted for exactly 40 minutes and was very conversational overall.

I was then asked a business case interview question. I was given a few minutes to think about my ideas and then I presented it.

I had my interview with Stephanie Brown over Zoom, and it lasted for about 50 mins. Stephanie was an absolute sweetheart!!! The conversation was so natural I nearly forgot it was an interview. The questions: -Please walk me through your resume. -Why MBA and why now -Why Notre Dame? -Tell me about a time when you made a mistake? -Tell me about a time when you showed leadership. Follow up question: how did the other person react to your approach? -Tell me about a time when you helped someone. -Tell me a fun fact about you that only very close friends and family know. -What are your hobbies? -What three words would your colleagues use to describe you. -What is your dream company/job, and why? -Case question: You are a consultant hired by a global hotel chain looking to build a hotel in Latin America (a specific country). Make a list considering what information you might need before picking a city and initiating construction?

Why do we have to choose you in our program 3. A person who you admire and why 4. What do you do in your leisure time 5. If we could talk to your present team mates , what would they say about you 6. Fun fact about you 7. Anything else do you want to share Case Question : You’re in charge to move 10k cases of wine from Chile to Indiana. What factors you need to consider. ( we can use pen and paper to jot down notes ) Hindsight, I should have mentioned some electives/concentrations that I am interested in, I prepared for it but forgot to mention them during the course of the interview. Be yourself and best wishes for your interview.

I was interviewed by Ms. Cassie via Zoom, she is quite friendly and nice so it's really comfortable. However, I can't hear clearly some words that makes the conversation a little bit unsmoothly. Here are the questions: 1. Long term, short term goal. Why MBA? 2. Why do we have to choose you 3. A person who you admire 4. What do you do in your free time 5. Your personal goal 6. Fun fact about you 7. What else do you want to share Case: You’re in charge to move 10k cases of wine from Chile to Indiana. What factors you need to consider. This is a quite interesting question, I had around 7-8 minutes to think but I couldn't think much due to time constrain. Wish you luck with your interview!

My interview was with Stephanie Brown. It was my first interview for an MBA college and what I really liked about the interview was that it was not as formal as a job interview. She was casual and made me comfortable. Questions asked: 1. Why did you select the MBA/MSBA dual degree? 2. Why Notre Dame? 3. How will you contribute to the program? 4. Which concentration will you select if you're admitted? 5. Tell me about an achievement in your personal or professional life? 6. After you graduate from ND, how would you like your cohort to remember you? 7. Which companies are you looking forward to working at after your MBA? 8. Tell me about an incident when you disagreed with your senior, how did you react? 9. Tell me about an initiative you took and what was the result. 10. Describe yourself in three words. 11. Last one was a case study question. 5 minutes time is given to come up with an 'approach' to the problem? This is common to ND interviews. After the interview, ample time was given to ask questions to the interviewer. Interview time was about 40 minutes.

I had my interview on Jan 30th with Mr. Paul from the adcom. The interview was friendly and conversational. The questions were similar to what everyone got asked - tell me about yourself, why mba, why ND etc Just be prepared for questions they might ask you on your story as well. They asked me what was it like working for a corporate and at a family business and I did prepare for that. Good luck guys. Please go through the debrief section before your interview. The questions were just the same. Regards, HK

Mendoza interview was one of the best interview experiences I ever had. Interviewer was very friendly. She started with very basic questions. One thing I noticed that, Mendoza was very interested to know your personality and fit. Unlike other schools, it was less interested about the long term/short term goals. The fun part of the interview was definitely the case interview or guesstimation interview . for example, "how many ping pong ball fit in a 747 airplane?" Though you don't have to find out the exact value, they are very interested to learn your though process and you ability to think on you feet. Good luck and enjoy the process.

Hi. Just had an interview. Very much fun and conversational. Typical questions: - Why ND? - Why MBA at this stage in career? - What are your focus areas / concentrations? - What will you do post MBA? Where - Geographically? - Any supervisor that you look up to and emulate? Why? - How do you manage teams and what are you challenges in that? - A small Case Scenario - Was given a scenario and 5 minutes to think - questions were what factors you would consider and what questions would you ask. It was interesting - specifically Case Scenario.
