Hi Mission2018,

The 750 score represents about the 99th percentile, meaning that 99% of Test Takers never score that high (no matter how many times they take the GMAT). Raising a 570 to a 750 would likely take another 3-4 months of consistent, guided study, so your current timeframe likely won't be enough time. Beyond the time commitment, you would likely benefit a great deal by investing in a GMAT Course of some type (either Guided Self-Study or instructor-led) with an emphasis on learning Tactics, patterns and all of the little 'secrets' to the GMAT.

1) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
2) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi,

1. I am looking for Fall 2018.

2. Target Schools - UCLA, DUKE, Tepper, YALE SOM, CBS, INSEAD, Uni. of Toronto, UBC, ROSS.

What should be done to increase QA 43 to 50?

Hi Mission2018,

Since you're not planning to apply to Business School for some time, you have the potential for a more thorough period of study time - so it's worth reiterating that the 2 month timeframe that you discussed isn't necessary (and to be fair, it isn't practical either). To hit your goal score, beyond learning all of the necessary content, you're going to also need to learn the proper Tactics, all of the built-in patterns that GMAT questions are based around and the little 'secrets' to the Test. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam - but you have to trail and learn to take advantage of that consistency. In answer to your immediate question (to raise a Q43 to a Q50+) - the Quant section of the GMAT is NOT a 'math test', it's a 'critical thinking test' that requires that you do lots of little math steps while testing you on lots of OTHER skills. So to start, you have to learn how to properly "see" (and respond to) that section of the Test.

Ultimately, you would likely find it beneficial to invest in a full GMAT Course of some type (either Guided Self-Study or instructor-led). Most GMAT Companies offer some type of free materials (practice problems, Trial Accounts, videos, etc.) that you can use to 'test out' a product before you buy it. We have a variety of those resources at our website (www.empowergmat.com). I suggest that you take advantage of all of them then choose the one that best matches your personality, timeline and budget.

If you have any additional questions, then just let me know.
