Columbia? LOL
In London (city center)really you may consider also Tanaka (Imperial college), but is far worse (or at least not as well regarded by most people) than the ones you stated. But there are others, just really not the same level.
I've applied to LBS, Columbia and well UCLA.
LBS is probably a dream school for me (both personal and professional reasons), so I'm kind of biased, but I think it is really really good if you want a finance career.

Actually you're not very biased about LBS. It's really a good school. However, if I get a ding from NYU, it's very much possible that I get a ding from LBS as well.

Spurious correlation there, Standard.

My friend is at LBS and really enjoying it. I can imagine most people would - its location is really nice though I expect most would find London a bit.... interesting as a city.

I think LBS' finance side is more a production of why people choose to study MBAs in the UK.

If you are in London for stuff, feel free to shout me up.

I lived in London for a time  .

Although I was little, I remember the city, and I'm certain I will enjoy my time there. LBS is a dream school for me as well (after NYU Stern) but it's a long shot. My profile probably will not be enough for LBS.

Same for NYU Stern, that's why I search other good programs in these cities.

Did you apply for LBS R2?
where are you from?
my profile is:
700/low GPA/Portuguese education (which makes the gpa issue harder to compare)/28/3.5y WE (quite diverse one)/extracurriculars: mostly sports and private investments/worked trhough undergrad part time.
It's probably a long shot also to LBS/Columbia or UCLA, but we'll see, maybe the nationality will help me(double national, portuguese/english). don't really know.
What's yours?

If you think it is a long shot, why don't you just "wait" a while, 1 to 2 years, and work on extra-currs and perhaps other things?

Perhaps is not that long also, you may differ yourself from the crowd...

It's a good idea, but I intend to start my career early and do not want to change it too much. Also, there is a military obligation in Turkey, and if I don't go to MBA this year, I will be obliged to start my military obligation.
