MFE or MBA?

Hi Hjort,
I am admitted to the NUS MBA program and have also been interviewed by Said Business School for the MSc in Financial Economics program (MFE - 9 month program) . My undergraduate degree is in engineering and have worked in a project mgmt/general mgmt role for 2 years. I am keen on switching into financial services post a higher degree.
1) How feasible is the MFE, particularly because I do not have any prior background in finance or economics?
2) MFE @ Said is a new course, just into its second year. While the brand equity of Oxford in itself might be well worth it, is the newness of the program a cause for any concern? How would you rate the course?
3) The MFE program begins in October. From my knowledge, application process for most IBs start somewhere around the same time. Is the timing of the course ok, considering that when I apply I'll have little or no relevant coursework?
Thanks,
L
