Hey Everyone!
Devin here - a final year (senior) student at a top school in Dublin, Ireland.
I am applying for a number of Finance Programs (LSE, MIT, Oxford and Anderson) and a number of Business Analytics programs (MIT, Duke Fuqua and Columbia).
I have a GMAT score of 770 (Q49 V48), and an undergraduate GPA of 4.0.
My undergraduate is Management Science and Information Systems studies, a quantitative analysis focused degree. Throughout my four years, I've studied a lot of probability, statistical analysis, mathematical modelling, computer programming, and investment analysis/corporate finance. I am currently working with an asset management company in London as part of my Final Year Project. I was awarded a full merit-based scholarship for my university on the back of a set of extra exams sat during my second year.
I am heavily involved in some extra curricular clubs and societies: Treasurer and Alumni Liaison Officer of the Management Science Society, Cardmaster of the Poker Society, and Vice-Captain and Secretary of the Soccer club.
I am looking to apply straight from my undergrad, but have an internship in Investment Banking at JPMorgan and experience as a demonstrator and teaching assistant for probability and statistics classes in my university.
I was really just looking for some thoughts on my chances, and is there anything in particular I should be trying to emphasize during my application essays?
Cheers and best of luck to you all!
