Hello. I have got an admit from both Essec and Schulich for their Mfin course. While my first preference is Essec, lack of french knowledge might make it difficult for me to find a job in France after graduating from Essec. Deadline for confirming my admission in both the schools is Dec 31, 2021. Can somebody guide me in taking a decision?
Hi
sparshdhamijaCongratulations on the admit!!
Being a fellow MFin applicant, I would choose Essec over Schulich considering a few things such as ROI, the opportunities and the alumni. Although, I am quite familiar with Essec's Mfin program I am not well versed with Schulich's program. What you can do here is try to dig deep in their curriculum, which of them has courses which you want to study and which field in finance you would want to specifically work in and whether the college provides some advantage to study that field so eg. If you want to study Corporate finance Essec has a tailored program for corporate finance. As for the language, you'll have to take some efforts but the school will surely help you to find something considering its brand value.
Also, could you please share your interview experience here-

Hope this helps
