Hi. Congratulations on your admits!
Not a masters and finance expert here and I’m not familiar with reputations rankings or employment outcomes for these two schools and offer a bit of a framework for evaluating as I suspect you may know more. I hope you know more 😂
In my view, for masters, the most important aspect is how it helps to find you an internship or a job at the end. Since many grads lack work experience, A lot of you recruiting will depend on the reputation of the program and on the programs ability to attract employers.
So the first thing I would do, get a better understanding of on campus recruiting events and the opportunities, preferably from current students.
Second, when you graduate, you usually get a work permit for that country unless you are a citizen of both Europe and Singapore, you need to consider where you want to find the job and where you want to settle for 3 to 5 years after you graduate. It’s not like you can go to school and Singapore and the German company will Will be hiring you or something like that. Similarly, if you go to school in France, likely you’ll end up in Europe because you’ll have a work permit for a year after you graduate.
One aspects to consider about going to school in France is the knowledge of the language. I assume that many positions right out of a masters program, would require you to know French if you were to recruit in Paris. Obviously you can recruit in London nearby Or perhaps in Amsterdam or Germany but I would also check how vital is the knowledge of the language and how advantageous it is. This would be something to ask students when you chat with them.
Also note, that usually current students will not bring up negative things as a rant but rather very subtly. So keep your ears open for hints.
Good luck with your decision!
