Anyone think that the RC and CR questions given by MGMAT in their CATs are pretty poorly constructed? When I do OG problems, I get them right about 95% of the time (according to the Archer). When I get OG questions wrong, after reviewing the explanation, it's almost always clear why I was wrong.
With MGMAT, the answer choices are much more open to interpretation and I often find myself arguing with the explanations.

Hi TheTrack,
MGMAT CR, RC and even SC questions are a little different from the actual GMAT questions. But, I will not say that they are poorly constructed, they are just different. They are a very good practice, if you have studied from the MGMAT guides, which themselves are pretty cool. You should avoid doing these questions at the end of your preparation and just stick to the official stuff. Though not 100% GMAT style, MGMAT CAT questions are good and it may seem at times that the explanations are arguable but they are correct. Moreover, you can also make use of the discussions on almost all of these questions in GMAT Club forum and MGMAT forum. Regarding the CAT scores, you can add an error factor or +_ 40. The most accurate one is the GMATPrep form the creators of actual GMAT. If you are able to understand the OG explanations then thats great. You will do well in the actual GMAT if you have a solid understanding of the official questions and the error patterns that they test. All the best !!!
