There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
I gave my MGmat test 1 just preparing Maths and without preparing much on verbal. I did math from OG-11. However i found the test to be too lengthy and also some problems were more difficult than the ones i encountered in the OG. I got a score of 560 on this test. Has any one had a similar exp of finding the test too long?
Yes, manhattan quant is tough, but, verbal is ok. Those tests are good practice considering the limited number of tough math questions in OG11 and supplements. The great thing about manhattan tests is that they provide answer explanations to the questions.
Review your mistakes and continue to take those tests, you will see some improvements.
MGMAT quant questions get pretty ridiculous at times. Some of there 700-800 level question would require half a sheet of paper to work out the answer on.
However, they are still really useful to attempt. You'll learn what you need to learn, just don't take the score as an accurate representation of what you'll get on the real thing.
I personally found the verbal questions more difficult than OG11 ones, but other haven't.
