A. thousands or even millions of times less in its mass as [“as” requires a clause, its redundant - eliminate it] B. it is thousands or even millions of times less massive as [ “as” used to subordinate clause – eliminate it] C. thousands or even millions of times less massive than [Hold it] D. yet it is thousands or even millions times less massive than [but yet – awkward construction – eliminate it] E. yet it is thousands or even millions of times less in its mass than [but yet – awkward construction – eliminate it]
But, I chose D (even though, I didnt like the 'yet') because, I thought 'it' is required as the subject for the clause starting with 'but'?
Is C correct because it is // to the first modifying phrase, 'hundreds of times more massive..'? so does that mean, 'but' can also introduce phrases?
thanks.

in this sentence "but" is not underlined, so one has to live with it. "but" and "yet" together is incorrect since this introduces redundancy (they are both contrasting words)
