Good evening all,
I am an Italian ex-student, graduated in December 2018 at the Top Italian B-School Bocconi (Top 10 in Europe). I am planning on applying to European B-Schools for a MiM or a Master in Business Analytics.
Target schools
ESCP Europe, Esade, IE, HEC Lausanne, Essec.
Profile
Demographics: Italian Male, 23 years old.
Education and grades: BSc in Economics and Finance at Bocconi University(GPA low - 23.15/30). Exchange program at Charles University in Prague.
Work: Full time Finance and Controlling Intern at an Italian chocolate company (70m revenues - 5 months, from april to august 2019).
Extra-curriculars: Volunteering at a Non profit organization for the fight against cancer. Founded student association for blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Last year I participated at CEO for One Month from The Adecco Group and was in the top 20.
Professional targets: Consulting or Tech Startup.
GMAT: GMAT 1: 630 (Q45 V31) Next attempt: 23rd January 2020
I'm planning to improve my GMAT Score next week and at least get 700.
What do you think about my profile to be taken for a Master in Management? I know I had a low GPA, how can I overcome my low gpa maybe at the interview?
Thanks a lot for reading!
Thanks for posting. Given your profile, internships, and ECA, you could well have a shot even with a 630 at ESCP, ESADE, HEC Lausanne, and IE. Of course, a higher score (you must have retaken by now - please update on the score) helps for both admissions and scholarships. For ESSEC, a somewhat higher score (30-40+) would be helpful. While you GPA is not outstanding, it would be ok, provided you submit strong applications.
Hope this helps. Feel free to come back with more queries as needed.
