Hi ,
Could anyone please explain the factors that play a role in the MIM weighted salary ?
For example , Why Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad is the highest ranking MIM based on weighted salary even though many other MIM programs have better program ranking !

In fact ,in salary ranking : the 1st , 2nd , 3rd are Indian institutes , why ?

Hey foryearss,

Here’s how the FT defines weighted salary: “The average alumnus salary three years after graduation, US$ PPP (purchasing power parity) equivalent, with adjustment for variations between sectors.”
Hence the actual salaries may not be greater than the programs with better ranking but the weighted salaries were.

Also, for these rankings, the FT only considers graduates of IIM-A’s graduate program in management for executives (PGPX), a one-year course for experienced executives. This is not comparable to MiM programs as this course is specifically designed for people with 5-6 years of work experience and hence receive a higher pay in the first place.

Thanks , that makes sense ,
but why these programs are listed under MIM programs ? they should be listed under MBA or Executive MBA , am i right ?
