Did the application give you the opportunity to put the GPA with a tenth decimal place? If so, then yes, I would email them and correct it. That looks like you rounded to your advantage and 2.6 to 3 is a big deal. I would let them know that this was just for rounding purposes and it was not intended to deceive.
If it was just an approximation, I would not worry. You had to submit your transcript, so they will see your actual GPA.
Alternatively, instead of emailing the AdCom, I would call them anonymously. Explain the situation without revealing any of your personal information. This way, you can get an accurate answer and not show your hand.
Does that work for you? Don't panic. This will be resolved one way or another and I am confident you will not be dinged for this clerical matter.
