Hi Jon,
I would like to know your thoughts on how much emphasis does MIT Sloan put on undergrad GPA ? As you must have helped tons of people get into Sloan (and probably have a Gaussian curve ready for admits :) ), do you think undergrad GPA is more of a prized possession at Sloan than at schools in the same league ?

I have just about 7+ on scale of 10 in engineering major from a premier institute (IIT). I am having a hard time choosing between Sloan and Booth. Both are great fits, but I'd be able to squeeze only one of them amidst other stuff. So, if GPA is a big red flag at Sloan, I'd be better off having a shot at Booth.

Please advise.

Haha! No Gaussian curve I'm afraid. And even if I have helped tons of people, it still wouldn't be as scientific as looking at the whole school. And as published the media undergrad GPA is 3.5 (of course go figure how the calculate that average when you come from abroad!).. Buuuut I can say that I wouldn't say that Booth cares much less about GPA than Sloan....
