I received an invitation to apply for the M.Eng program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. They are waiving application fees and are simplifying the application process. Has any body else received the invitation. I am also keen to know whether anyone knows about employment prospects for this program.

I received this invitation as well. I figured it was purely based on GMAT score. I didn't apply because I'm not interested in supply chain, but I think I checked the operations box on my GMASS questionnaire.

I would imagine that employment prospects would be very good considering MIT is the top-ranked supply chain school. I can't believe that you wouldn't be able to find a great operations job out of the gate.

I got the email, too. I think the program is so specific it is only worth considering if your goal is to do logistics.

i got the invite too...I have showed zero interest in supply chain or logistics in my application.

honestly i would be skeptic about that program. I mean, MIT is a top school, but i wonder why they would have to resort to asking a bunch of random people to apply. I think a very large amount of people who got rejected from MIT graduate programs are given that invitation. Everyone I know who got rejected by Sloan got that invite, plus based on what the letter says, it seems like they're doing the same to all MIT graduate program rejects.

They probably just want to boost their numbers, etc.
