This was the sentence:

Left alone in the house, the thunderstorm terrified the two small children.

I was asked to correct it as an excercise:

Here is my solution:
Left alone in the house, the two small children were terrified by the thunderstorm.

Is this right?

The web site had it as:
The thunderstorm terrified the two small children left alone in the house.

I agree with the website, but I was wondering if my solution was right too.


Your answer is also correct.
On GMAT land, sentence given in website is preferred because it is a simple sentence and is in active voice.
