Hi dinogon,
When posting specific GMAT practice questions, you should post them in their respective sub-forums. For example, the Data Sufficiency (DS) forum can be found here:
https://gmatclub.com/forum/data-sufficiency-ds-141/This prompt can be solved rather easily by TESTing VALUES. We are asked if A is less than B. This is a YES/NO question.
1) |A + 4| > |B - 3|
IF...
A = 1, B = 3, then the answer to the question is YES.
A = 4, B = 3, then the answer to the question is NO.
Fact 1 is INSUFFICIENT
2) |A - 3| < B
Both of the TESTs that were used in Fact 1 also fit in Fact 2...
A = 1, B = 3, then the answer to the question is YES.
A = 4, B = 3, then the answer to the question is NO.
Fact 2 is INSUFFICIENT
Combined, we know both
|A + 4| > |B - 3|
|A - 3| < B
But no additional work is required, since we already have a 'YES' and a "NO" answer that fit both pieces of information.
Combined, INSUFFICIENT
