Mom and Dad treated as one unit can be seated 10*2 different ways, kids in 4!*3! Total: 10*2*4!*3!

Hallo Guys, two ways are MDBGBGBGBG or MDGBGBGBGB, we can have same for DM so 2*2*4!*4! makes sense for me too.

Hmmm, wait a second! If males and females alternate that means the following:? Lets say D is seated at the first seat, mom can be seated to the right, and only the boy can sit next to her and so on. hmmm, get back back to this Q

once ya place D in 10 indistinguishable positions, M can be placed either left, or right to D--2 choices.

Hallo hallelujah , i still do not understand when MD are fixed B & G can sit in 4!x4! ways. MD can sit in 2 ways , so we have 2x4!x4! but but if we take MD it is important if the first kid siting next to, let`s say M, is a boy or a girl. That is why i think that another doubling is necessary. Hope we can clarify this. Best
