Given- Mom is 24 years older than her son. M = S+24 --- Eq1
To find - How old is the mother now?
1st - Three years ago, the total of mom and son's age is 36.
M - 3 + S - 3 = 36
Solving with the help of eq1 we can get ages of both M = 33 and S = 9. Hence Sufficient.
2nd - Three years ago, the mother's age was 5 times her son's age.
M - 3 = 5 (S - 3)
Solving with the help of eq1 we can get ages of both M = 33 and S = 9. Hence Sufficient.
