Hi everyone!
I was just wondering, do you guys have some money-saving strategies for choosing score recipients?
How many schools do most people apply to in one year?
Also, is it possible to choose the score recipients on the testing day after finishing the exam (after I get the unofficial score)?
If it is possible, will my time to select the 5 schools be limited to 2 minutes as well?

Good question... however, score report fees will be the least of your worries.
Unless you have a way of waiving applications fees, that's going to be your big hitter as well as travel expenses if you end up visiting campuses/interviews, etc. Average app fee is $100-200.
Most folks apply to about 2 schools per month with about 6 being the norm and most I have heard being around 10 or 12 (not counting the consortium) but that's insane and people did admit it since you have to get a lot of recommendations and that's a big burden on the recommenders and also managing the application packages becomes a nightmare.
You pick recipients BEFORE you see your score, but if you cancel it, they won't get anyway, so it is irrelevant when you pick your recipients.

Assuming your goal is to attend a Top Business School, you have to consider this whole process as more of an 'investment' in your future than as an expense to be minimized. Every part of this process is going to cost money, but earning an MBA from a respectable program is worth all of the time, money and energy you'll have to invest to earn that degree.
The School Selection tool/interface occurs before you start your Official Exam (during the Orientation 'section'), and it shouldn't take you more than a few minutes to select your Schools (whatever 'time limit' governs this part of the orientation is NOT limited to 2 minutes, so you won't have to rush through this part). If you choose not to select any Schools, then each of your Score Reports will cost $28 (per School) later on.
