AjiteshArunThe last statement just talks about volume of hydrocarbons - but what if with the same volume the oil that you can extract is still different?
I read it as
Buried animals - hydrocarbons - chemical transformation - oil
The statement is implying
Buried animals - hydrocarbons - chemical transformation - hydrocarbons
How did we connect the oil link here?
Hi Kavicogsci,
The original one is:
{Hydrocarbons derived from organisms buried under ancient sea} → Chemical transformations → Oil
The new ("suppose") mechanism is:
{Other complex hydrocarbons trapped within the Earth} → Bacterial action → Oil
And because this is a strengthen question, we try not to assume that extraction ratios are different (we have no reason to believe that there is a difference between the two kinds of oil, depth etc.). Remember that the correct option just needs to strengthen. It doesn't need to be perfect.
