A lacks conciseness, compared to E
After the semicolon, it's a sentence fragment, so the nxt part of the sentence..bus b able to stand independently. Thus B,C and D eliminated.
E can stand independently, and is concise with the use of BUT
So the answer is E[/b]

E is a no-go; "but no slopes without music" lacks a verb.
I'd say D is best of the options (although I don't like it).
