I just postponed my test to mid-june as I am feeling very unmotivated. I have been accepted to a great schoold pending getting a decent score (ie 600-650) but have been very busy with my job (sales/trading). I am in the high 400's low 500's right now on my PR tests and feel that I need to buckle up and get cracking. I was thinking about getting a tutor or professional help (kaplan,PR). Are the tutors worth the money and do any of you think all of this can be accomplished in a month? If anyone in this forum has a good gameplan it would be most appreciated.
From what I can scramble from the post, It all depends on how you value your time.
If you think that it is cheaper fo ryou to get through an intense course and get "driven" rather than get a book and hang out with us and spend more time on your prep, then perhaps you need a course.
Many people here did not feel it was worth it, others don't have good prep services in their area, and some are just foreign to the idea of a prep company or a tutor at $50-100/hour.
You also never mentioned which section you have issues with. Math is much easier to deal with. Verbal is a bit longer. International or Native speaker?
Also keep in mind that you can take only one test a month, so if you have a choice, go for one at the end of May and then in early June. Pick the better score and order the score reports afterwards.
