Read the necromongers blog about movies

I want to kill time....ordered "Departed " on blockbuster

Folks..start with ur suggestions.....

Very well made and beautifully portrayed. Letters from Iwo Jima is completely in Japanese subtitled in english.

The movies above are well made movies. But if you're out for a bellyfull of laughter..

Beyond the Clouds, by Wim Wenders.
Requiem for a Dream.
Casino.
Goodfellas.
Road Trip.
Pink Floyd The Wall.
Dangerous Man (the one with Nicholas Cage, the title may be wrong).
Hotel Rwanda.
Reservoir Dogs (Tarantino's 1st).
The Thin Red Line.

watch Blood Diamond if you can..it was one of the best movies I saw in 06

I agree somewhat with most of your list but Hotel Rwanda??? Come on... I'm sorry but I couldn't even bear to finish it...
If you're looking for "classics" try:
Scarface
Blood In, Blood Out (aka Bound by Honor)

more importantly, to get ready for bschool, you should definitely watch American Psycho and if you're going to Cornell, watch Road Trip and if you're anxious about getting dinged across the board, watch Accepted

Ok, I may be biased on Hotel Rwanda as I spent some years in Africa.
I've watched American Psycho. And it gave me yet one more reason to be scared about HBS!

I did. I thought it was fine. Some great scenes, wonderfully shot. The story...not that great/interesting IMHO.
