I am planning to do MS. Finance in 2008. As I get work experience, I further plan to pursue an MBA.
Is it true, that business schools may treat the MSF as my 'first' MBA and that they would be reluctant to grant me admission in a traditional MBA later on?
How can I overcome this problem?

MS Finance programs are generally far more specialized in finance and feature very little coverage of management/leadership. It is always possible for schools to perceive a program to be duplicative of an MBA but this is unlikely for most MS Finance programs.
