I am an engineering student of National Institute of Technology in India. I aspire to pursue MS in finance. My profile is as follows:
Expecting 710+ in GMAT
CGPA - 8.4/10 (top 15 in batch)
Major - Material Science
Co curriculars - Pretty strong here. Sports, co-founder and president of institute's entrepreneurship cell, branch society president, institute magazine editor, sponsorship head of branch fest
Work experience- 1 internship in core field. Nothing related to finance whatsoever.
Do I stand any chance for admission in top 30 programs in the US?
At this juncture what can be done to /develop/improve my chances?
Hello
midoriyaAs I always say, your E (expectation) toward GMAT score actually means nothing, it is a wish at this point, nothing more.
Your GPA and educational background is fine, being engineering guy is always helpful for Finance.
Extra curricular activities are good.
Yes, you do have fair chance at top 30 US programs, assuming you score in that range, still there is very big difference between 25-30 and top 5.
