Hi,

I am applying for MSF program beginning Fall 2018. Which colleges can I target with the below profile?

GRE - 309 (Q159, V150)

TOEFL- 102

UG - Bachelor with a major in Accounting and Finance (from one of India’s reputed institutes)

GPA - 3.6/4

Grad - Masters with a major in Accounting and Finance (from one of India’s reputed institutes)

GPA - 3.8/4

Work ex - 5.25 Years. I’ve worked for a Big 4 consulting firm over these years.
Have completed 2 CPA courses yet.

Applied to - UCINN, UCONN, Suny buffalo,University of UTAH

Can you please suggest be better institutions which are STEM certified other than above and if above are good?

Thanks a lot.

So that GRE converts to about a 540. Very bad score. GPA is fine. Lots of work experience. IMO, you are more of an MBA candidate. That being said, SUNY Buffalo would probably accept you. UConn as well. Utah, no.

With that GMAT score and your work experience (which will either help or severely hurt you), I would target low ranked programs in or new major metros. You want to be somewhere near potential jobs. Do not pic a low ranked program in the middle of nowhere. You'll waste time and money and have to return to India after your time in school

Hello MSFHQ,

I have got admit from UTAH with 19k scholarship and now waiting for UConn.
Can you please give your inputs on University of Utah if it should be a good pick for me being an international student?

Appreciate your inputs.

Regards.
