Hi,
I have 5.3 years of work experience in Information Technology (IT) sector in Infosys Limited.
Degree is in Metallurgical Engineering from Punjab engineering college(Chandigarh, India).
GMAT score 640.
I took GMAT with an aim of getting into some decent MBA college so applied in few universities such as
NUS, ISB, Great lakes and XLRI.
Got an offer from Great lakes Gurgaon (which i am not considering) and no offer from NUS and ISB and waiting response from XLRI.
I also checked out MS in Management Information Systems (MS in MIS) and found it a good option due to following reasons:
First and most important: Fees. There is huge difference in fee structure in MS and MBA.
Second: Scholarships. More scholarships are available in MS than in MBA.
Third: At 640 score and 5.3 experience i wont be able to make it to a decent MBA college.
So finally i want to go for MS.
But is MS in MIS a good option. What is the scope of the same?
In which universities i should apply and will i get admission through GMAT?
I would really appreciate the responses on my query.
