Hi All,
I need your help in deciding which University to choose considering following factors
i) Affordability
ii) Job prospects in US
iii) Job prospects in India
Following are the admits I have received (all are STEM). I dont want to spend more than 50K (including living) unless opportunities of getting Job for an international students are more
1. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy NY - Quantitative Finance and Risk Analytics program - 1 years course - 53K fee (ranked very high in all MFE rankings but fee is very high)
2. SUNY Buffalo - MS Finance Quant Track - 1.5 years course - 34K fee
3. Rochester Institute of Technology (Saunders)- Computational Finance - 1 year course - 24 K fee after scholarship
Decision is pending for
Stevens Institute of Technology, NJ - MFE - 1.5 Years - 45K-48k (without any scholarship)
My Background
Bachelor's of Engineering (Computer science)
MBA (Finance and banking)
Work Ex: 4 years of exp in US mortgage underwriting (credit analyst)
I need your help in deciding which University to choose considering following factors

I personally think RPI has the best brand. Not sure how it is regarded internationally. Troy NY is closer to NYC than Buffalo or Rochester and NYC is probably the job market that you will be targeting. I'd reach out to RPI admissions and just be honest with them. You've gotten into a number of other programs and cost is an issue. You want to go to RPI, but need a little help. Worst case they say no and you can decide to go at full price if you really want. Best case they give you some money and make the decision a little easier.
